The small but beautiful collection of earthenware
mainly covers rare artifacts from China, South India.
The skillfully painted Chinese pots carry images of human bodies
performing different activities. Some of these pots depict flowers,
birds and animal motifs. This earthenware collection belongs to
the 18 th century to early 19th century period.
The small range of painted and baked/unbaked pottery at the Museum
is a tribute to the artist whose gentle hands have created fascinating
patterns and designs expressing their dreams and aspirations. These
are mainly water containers, flower pots, wall panels, crockery
and pedestals.
